Dear Friends in Rugby,
Firstly, it is our wish that you, your family, friends and work colleagues
remain safe and well during these challenging times. We are with you all the way.
We have been missing you over the last few months. Seeing children running around interacting with their peers and learning new skills at mini rugby on a Sunday is a great tonic to a hard week, as is the regular catch up and socialising with you all.
There has been lots of activity by the committee to push on with the club redevelopment which will eventually yield an even better community space and improved facilities outside. But, the club is not the building: It is the players, it is the mini rugby section out with their parents supporting them.
The Senior team have started to do fitness training in small groups in the last few weeks, thanks to some great work by the coaches and team in response to the easing of lockdown measures.
Although Mini Rugby doesn’t usually run through the summer, we are looking into ways of starting training back in some form before September as we haven’t had any training at the club for 3 months. Whilst this is a difficult process, we are determined to come back together as soon as it is safe to do so. We are trying to plan and set up a system that is enjoyable, caters for everyone, and is as safe as it can possibly be.
Things might change quickly but we will keep you posted of all our plans. Keep checking the Facebook group and your emails for any updates from the club!
Stay safe and get in touch if you have any questions.
#Keepwellandkeepsafe.
